“Almost everyone I know has a Facebook™ or MySpace™ page. You can create your very own online personal space, with lots of information about yourself, like your favourite music, the sports you play, and stuff about your school. You can even add pictures of yourself and friends.
Tips
- Make sure you mark your site “private” so only the friends you allow can see it. My parents helped me with my privacy settings.
- Use a nickname in your profile instead of your real name. Your friends know your nickname so they will be able to find you.
- In your profile, instead of a picture of yourself, use a cartoon.
- If someone you don’t know sends you a “friend request” tell your parents.
